English ain't my mother tongue, so forgive me for not knowing the exact terminology of everything.Fans of the Stalker franchise from Ukrainian developer GSC Game World are eagerly awaiting the sequel Stalker 2, which was officially re-announced in 2018, with the first in-engine footage of the game being shown only a few months ago.
This issue has never happened to me before in a game. Please post anything that could help me enable the use of my mouse in this game. Well, I went to edit my keybindings again, thinking I must have messed up when customizing them, only to realize that the game does not register a single mouse action other than the left-click! I noticed, when I was first editing my bindings, that I couldn't bind my mouse's side-buttons, or hell, even any scroll actions to my controls, because the game simply doesn't recognize the input of: the RMB, scrolling up OR down, scroll clicking or any of the extra side-buttons on my mouse.Įven though I tried various "fixes" that helped users who couldn't use their mouse at all, I haven't managed to fix a single thing, and haven't seen anybody on the Steam discussions, or anywhere on Google, that has this specific issue of the game not recognizing anything but the LMB of mouse input. I remembered that I went to customize my keybindings a few days earlier, right after installing Complete. Also, I couldn't use my mouse wheel for anything, which was very weird because the game told me to scroll with it to change zoom levels on my binoculars. What instantly caught my eye is that right-clicking with my mouse didn't register, so I could only aim down sights with my right mousepad button (I'm playing on a laptop, and using the mousepad is unacceptable).
Today was the first time that I started a new game of SoC to play it. I've only installed SoC so far, and immediately installed the Complete mod for it.

After spending an hour of searching for solutions and trying out multiple ones that didn't help at all, I've decided to post here: I have not been able to find a solution to my problem, or anyone else experiencing this same issue. THIS ISSUE WAS SOLVED BY SWITCHING FROM SOFTWARE MODE TO HARDWARE MODE IN MY MOUSE CONFIG.
